Why Accountability Matters
For so many women, asking for help feels unnatural. We’re caregivers, nurturers, the ones who hold everything together. But when it comes to our own health and well-being, why is it so hard to ask for support?
For years, I thought I had to do it all on my own. In my early 20s, I spent 15 years trying to lose weight by sheer willpower. I was too proud, too stubborn, and honestly, too afraid of failing in front of others. I thought if I just “tried harder,” I could figure it out myself. But I wasted years spinning my wheels, starting over again and again.
I wish someone had told me then what I know now:
Success doesn’t come from doing it alone. It comes from having
the right support and accountability.
Even the Most Successful People Have Coaches & Accountability
Oprah Winfrey and Tony Robbins exemplify how successful individuals use coaches to enhance their skills and well-being. Top CEOs and high achievers seek guidance, structure, and accountability to reach their goals, making external support a strategic decision to maximize potential. Elite athletes like Serena Williams and Michael Jordan have comprehensive support teams, including coaches and specialists, to optimize performance. Business leaders engage executive coaches to refine skills and maintain competitiveness. Coaches help them reflect, receive feedback, and develop strategies.
If successful people rely on support, why do so many others feel the need to go it alone? Seeking support is not a sign of weakness—it's an exciting acknowledgment of growth opportunities, empowering our journey to success!
The reality is that having someone by your side means:
✔ You remain consistent, even when motivation wanes
✔ You develop lasting, improved habits
✔ You break the pattern of constantly "starting over"
✔ You feel supported, understood, and empowered
Everything Changes—Especially as We Get Older
I never really got the memo about all the changes that happen as we get older, like perimenopause (seriously, what even is that?) and eventually menopause. Why didn't anyone clue me in? As we age, our bodies and hormones shift, and what worked in our 30s just doesn't cut it in our 40s, 50s, and beyond. It's not just about eating right and working out; it's also about your habits, mindset, and behaviors. When I finally had someone to guide me, keep tabs on me support me, and hold me accountable that's what made all the difference.
Because let’s be honest—it’s easy to quit when no one’s watching. It’s easy to tell yourself, “I’ll start Monday” or “I know what to do, I just need to do it.” But when you have support, structure, and a plan, you finally stop waiting and start living.
You Deserve This.
If you’ve been telling yourself you’ll figure it out on your own, ask yourself: How much longer are you willing to wait?
If this resonates with you, share your thoughts, you don’t have to do this alone. You don’t have to feel stuck, frustrated, or like you’re failing. You deserve support, just like everyone else you’ve taken care of. Accountability can make all the difference . You deserve to live the life you've been dreaming of.
